Chinese New Year Fireworks

Fireworks have long been part of Chinese New Year, the Lunar New Year celebration that welcomes the new year with light and sound. Clacton Fireworks lets you reserve fireworks for the occasion online and pay in store when you collect.

Fireworks for Chinese New Year

Celebrations for the Lunar New Year often favour bold colour and energetic, fast-firing effects. Options that suit the occasion include:

  • Barrages — multi-shot cakes that deliver a lively sequence of effects.
  • Roman candles — send a series of coloured stars into the sky.
  • Rockets — single high-flying effects to open or close your display.

Planning around the date

Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar, so the date changes each year and usually falls outside the periods with extended firework hours. Please check the current legal times for using fireworks before your celebration. Our Firework Safety page explains how to set up and light fireworks responsibly, and letting nearby neighbours know in advance is a considerate step.

Age-restricted product
Fireworks are age-restricted. We operate a Challenge 25 policy, so if you look under 25 you will be asked for valid photo ID when you collect. See our Age Restricted Sales policy for accepted forms of identification.
